NCFE Level 1 Award in Residential Child & Family Support

£99.00

Description

This NCFE-accredited Level 1 Award is a foundational qualification designed for individuals beginning their journey in the social care sector, with a particular focus on supporting families in Residential Family Centres (RFCs).

Unlike the generic Skills for Care: Care Certificate, which does not account for the specific demands of residential family work, this course offers a tailored alternative that reflects the unique responsibilities and dynamics of the RFC environment. It was developed in partnership with Amber Family Ltd, ensuring content is grounded in current, real-world practice.

Learners will build core knowledge and practical understanding across key areas such as:

  • Safeguarding and child protection
  • Effective communication and teamwork
  • Health and safety in family settings
  • The structure and purpose of RFCs
  • The importance of respectful, rights-based work with families

This qualification is ideal for anyone new to care work or considering a role in residential child and family services. It also serves as a clear progression route to the NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Residential Child & Family Support.
